Josh's Visitors

Today, a dear friend of mine, Amanda Smith, left flowers on Josh’s Grave for me. Her boyfriend, Roger Henderson, is also buried at Arlington National Cemetery. Roger is another young soul whose life was taken far too soon by sarcoma cancer. Amanda and I have made a promise to each other that each time we go to Arlington to visit our guys, we will pay a visit to each others as well. There’s a lot of comfort in knowing that too much time hasn’t passed since they’ve had a visitor. That yellow note wedged into the left side of Josh’s headstone is from a dear friend of mine who went to visit Josh a few weeks ago while in DC for a job interview. These visits mean the world to me. If you’re ever in the DC area please go say hi to Josh, take a picture, and send it to me so I can add it to his visitors album. He’s buried in Section 34, Grave 571A right off of Pershing and Grant. Arlington National Cemetery is one of the most humbling and peaceful places on this planet. If you’ve never been, go check it out! Thank you again Amanda.
